Launch a coin
On this page
A coin lets fans back a piece of your work, or you. It starts trading the moment you launch on Gully Core, the chain's own launchpad and DEX, and its starting liquidity is locked forever: nobody can pull it out, not even you.
#One screen
- Name, ticker and image. What it is for (a movie, an album or track, a series, a Short, or a creator coin for you) sets the kind people see on the coin page.
- Trade fee. Pick the total fee on every trade, in steps from 1% to 11%. It includes the 1% base fee; everything above it is your creator tax. Default: 2% total.
- Holder rewards. Choose how much of the trade, in 0.5% steps, goes to the people holding your coin. It comes out of your side, never out of kre8's.
- Review and launch. The screen shows the launch fee ($2, read from chain) and an optional first buy, so you hold some from the start. Confirm with your passkey. Your coin is live and the app gives you a link to share.
Supply is fixed at 1 billion coins; the starting market cap is about 2 ETH. Both come from the platform defaults of Gully Core release 2; the details are in the chain docs, Gully Core.
#What you earn
- Half of the base fee, forever: 1% of every trade is the base fee, split 0.50% to kre8 and 0.50% to you.
- Your creator tax: everything above 1% in the total you picked. You keep 90% of it, kre8 keeps 10%. It is set once and lasts forever.
- Holder rewards are paid out of your share to the coin's holders. Unclaimed holder rewards go to the protocol after 30 days.
- Claim what you earned any time from the coin page or Creator home.
Example: a 3% total fee with 1% to holders pays 1.3% to you, 1.0% to holders and 0.7% to kre8 on every trade. The sums are on Every fee on kre8.
Note
Bot protection. For the first 60 seconds after launch the trade fee starts at 50% and falls to the fee you picked, so bots cannot grab your coin the second it goes live. Buyers see the current fee before they confirm.
Heads up
Coins can lose value fast. Never promise fans a profit, and tell them to buy only what they are fine losing. Stocks and other real-world assets cannot be launched as coins.
Fans on other chains can buy your coin without switching networks: Buy and sell coins.
